When Import Export Code (IEC) change or Modification required?

When any particulars of registered dealer change then Import Export Code (IEC) change or Updation required.

Advantage of Import Export Code (IEC) change or Modification

1) As per DGFT Notification No. 58/2015-2020 dated 12th February,2021; An IEC holder has to ensure that details in its IEC is updated electronically every year, during April-June period. Allotment of IEC

After the application and the attached supporting documents are verified, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade will issue a IEC for the business.

Documents Required For Import Export Code Updation

  • Board Resolution to change registered office
  • Latest Electricity Bill or Mobile Bill of proposed registered Office Address
  • Rent Agreement or NOC of proposed registered Office Address.
  • Photograph of Registered Office showing external building and inside office also showing therein at least one director who has affixed his/her Digital Signature to form INC-22 (For Registered Office Change)

Process Involved

  • STEP-1

Documentation

The company shall furnish to the Registrar verification of its registered office within a period of thirty days of its incorporation in such manner as may be prescribed.

  • STEP-2

Board Meeting

Board shall convene a Board Meeting to pass a resolution in its meeting for such change.

  • STEP-3

Notice

At least 7 days notice shall be given to Board members before the date of meeting.

  • STEP-4

Board Resolution

Board meeting shall be conducted and resolution for change in registered office within local limits of City Town or Village shall be passed.

  • STEP-5

Form INC-24

Form INC-24 shall be filed with Registrar of Companies within 30 days of passing Special Resolution for the approval of name change with Central Government (Power delegated to ROC)

  • STEP-6

Approval

The registration of change of the address becomes effective from the time of approval of INC-22, Company Master Data is updated simultaneously
